About the Role
The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's quality management systems (QMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company goals. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities across the organization, including internal audits, supplier management, corrective/preventive actions, and LEAN initiatives.
This position can be located at any Malarkey Roofing Production manufacturing facility.
What You'll Accomplish
- Develop, implement, and maintain QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms to ensure compliance with applicable standards and continuous improvement.
- Plan and conduct internal audits to assess conformance with QMS requirements, identify areas for improvement, and support audit readiness.
- Establish and manage a supplier evaluation and monitoring system to ensure the quality and reliability of external partners and vendors.
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure organizational understanding and adherence to QMS standards and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Lead LEAN initiatives across departments to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement, maintain, and optimize quality software systems.
- Manage the corrective and preventative action process to investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred: Chemistry, Engineering, Statistics, or Business
Required Work Experience: Five years managing quality functions in high-speed, continuous, or multi-lane manufacturing environments, with measurable results
Travel Requirements: Up to 50%
Additional Requirements
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
