Activities and Responsibilities
- Cycle count inventory and maintain an accurate inventory count for your product type all year long.
- Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity.
- Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
- Manages inventory levels, notify management of inventory issues, work with other departments well.
- Answers order termination or cancellation requests from sales.
- Reviews work in process material on production floor.
- Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report. (MRP)
- Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
- Performs purchasing duties on "outside process materials" including order placement, expediting, coordinating receipt of material in production sequencing, and act as liaison with quality and engineering departments.
- Maintains/updates manufacturing system/MRP system for assigned product types.
