Job Summary
The National Sales & Marketing Director drives new sales and establishes the brand and marketing for GMI. This role also involves setting, driving, and achieving new sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and growing existing customer accounts
- Market research on key market segments
- Researching, attracting, and securing new production opportunities/relationships
- Managing and ensuring data accuracy related to leads, RFQ’s, Quotes, contacts, CRM and data entry, & etc.
- Building the sales and marketing strategy and executing on that strategy in alignment to Company Goals and Objectives, Mission, Vision, and Employee Values
- Managing sales and marketing budget and spending
- Measuring, monitoring and reporting on sales and marketing metrics
- Managing a robust gross margin review process to ensure targets are met and exceeded
- Establishing and implementing both short and long-term goals tied to sales strategy and budgeting
- Generating new sales and revenue that meets the company’s objectives, marketing/branding awareness
- Managing Internal Sales role as well as external independent reps.
- Coordinating our presence and presentation by participating in market specific shows and meetings
- Ownership of customer pricing updates
- Participating in cross-functional upper management team
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience analyzing markets and forecasting sales
- Excellent communication skills, listening to customer’s needs and translating them to engineering team
- Presentation and closing skills (Winning the Business)
- Ability to manage both internal and external relationships
- Deep understanding of machining processes (Swiss CNC lathe machining preferred)
- US Persons qualified for ITAR and FFL compliant
- Experience with contract management and legal compliance
- Ability to build consensus with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to represent GMI Core Competencies and Core Values
- Experience using MS Office products and Research software
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s, MBA preferred
- 5+ years with proven results in sales and marketing role
- Experience with sales in Contract Manufacturing and Machining desired
Physical Demands
- Ability to travel frequently 25-30%
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
