Franklin Chamber of Commerce | September 5, 2025

The Franklin Chamber Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, is proud to announce the recipients of its annual Small Business Capacity-Building Grant program. Funded by the Franklin Economic Development Commission (EDC), this initiative supports local businesses in expanding and strengthening their operations.

From a competitive pool of twenty-two applicants, six businesses were selected to receive a total of $25,000 in grant funding for their projects. A check presentation ceremony on September 5 brought together grant recipients, EDC members, Chamber Foundation board members and city leaders to celebrate the announcement.

“Small businesses are the heart of our community,” said Rosie Chambers, president/CEO of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and Franklin Chamber Foundation. “These grants give business owners the tools they need to grow, strengthening both their businesses and the economic vitality of Franklin. In addition, it shows our belief in the importance of small businesses in Franklin.”

The following businesses were awarded grants to support their capacity-building projects:

Each recipient demonstrated a strong commitment to improving operations, expanding outreach and enhancing their long-term sustainability. Applications were reviewed by a committee and were scored based on business longevity, sustainability, community involvement and overall impact on the community.

Since the grant program began in 2023, The Franklin Chamber Foundation has received nationwide interest in duplicating this initiative in other communities. The unique partnership between the Franklin Chamber Foundation and Franklin’s EDC has impacted thirty-one local businesses by providing $85,000 in grants. The Franklin Chamber Foundation congratulates all recipients and invites individuals and organizations to help grow next year’s grant program. “We encourage philanthropically minded community members to contribute to our 501c3 so we can expand funding and support even more deserving small businesses. With so many worthy applications this year, our goal is to have the resources to help every business with a great idea to take the next step toward growth,” said Chambers.
