Job Description
Early Learning Community (ELC) is seeking nurturing, collaborative, and relationship-centered educators who believe children learn best through connection, play, emotional safety, and meaningful relationships.
ELC is a Conscious Discipline-informed early childhood program serving children ages 3–5 and their families. We are looking for educators who value creativity, teamwork, professionalism, and a growth mindset.
Teachers at ELC are more than classroom educators. They help create emotionally safe environments for children, build strong partnerships with families, and contribute to the overall culture of the school community.
Teachers may also have opportunities to serve in roles such as:
- Learning Environment Specialist
- Kindergarten Readiness Coordinator
- Family Partnership Coordinator
- Outdoor Learning Coordinator
- Mentor Teacher
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging, play-based learning experiences
- Build meaningful relationships with children and families
- Maintain organized and developmentally appropriate classroom environments
- Support daily routines, including meals, transitions, rest time, and care routines
- Help maintain classroom organization, materials, sanitizing, and overall upkeep
- Collaborate positively with teammates and school leadership
- Participate in professional development and Conscious Discipline training
Qualifications
- Experience in early childhood education preferred
- CDA, Early Childhood degree, or willingness to pursue training preferred
