Full Job Description
The Cat Coordinator is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily care, health, placement, and overall well-being of cats and small animals at the Johnson County Animal Shelter. This role supervises and trains staff, coordinates our Community Cat/TNR and foster programs, assists with adoptions and rescue placement, provides routine animal care and medical treatments, and works closely with the public, volunteers, veterinarians, and rescue partners. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, dependable, comfortable handling cats of all temperaments, and able to make difficult animal-welfare decisions when necessary. This is an active shelter position that requires someone who is equally comfortable caring for animals, leading a team, and working with the community.
Pay: From $24.76 per hour
