Position Summary
The Branch Manager / Branch Administrator is responsible for leading and overseeing retail banking operations, ensuring strong branch performance, operational excellence, and an exceptional customer experience. This role serves as the primary point of accountability for branch success, including staff development, regulatory compliance, and achievement of deposit, loan, and service goals.
Operating as both a strategic leader and hands-on manager, this position collaborates with senior leadership and internal partners to align branch activities with the Bank’s overall objectives. The role also maintains an active presence in the community to support relationship development, business growth, and the Bank’s reputation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Development
- Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to ensure high performance, engagement, and accountability
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and support employee development andsuccession planning
- Partner with Human Resources on recruiting, onboarding, and training initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture aligned with the Bank’s values
- Development of Universal Bankers at Branch locations with measurable benchmarks to achieve UB.
Branch Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with Bank policies and
- procedures
- Monitor branch performance metrics including deposit growth, loan activity, and operational KPIs
- Manage branch resources, staffing levels, and scheduling to maintain optimal service levels
- Ensure the branch environment is professional, secure, and customer-friendly Business Development & Customer Relationships
- Drive branch growth through new business development, referrals, and expansion of existing relationships
- Actively engage in community involvement, networking, and local events to promote the Bank
- Partner with internal teams (lending, treasury, mortgage, etc.) to identify cross-sell opportunities
- Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to all Bank policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Maintain compliance with federal and state banking regulations, including BSA/AML and consumer protection laws
- Support audit processes and implement corrective actions as needed
- Promote a strong risk management and security culture within the branch
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience in banking, finance, or business-related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in retail banking or financial services, including leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of retail banking operations, products, and regulatory requirements
- Proven leadership ability with experience coaching and developing teams
- Demonstrated success in business development and relationship management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in core banking systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and supporting a positive workplace culture
Work Schedule & Availability
This position requires a standard in-branch schedule with flexibility based on business needs. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to support community involvement, customer needs, and operational priorities.

- Ability to travel locally as required

- Serve as a liaison between branch staff and senior management
- Lead regular team meetings to communicate updates, goals, and performance expectations
- Collaborate across branches and departments to ensure consistency and best practice sharing
- Prepare and deliver reports on branch performance, staffing, and operational trends
Additional Responsibilities
- Approve transactions and customer requests within assigned authority limits
- Support lending activities, including customer discussions and application processing as applicable
- Participate in internal committees, community initiatives, and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Bank’s strategic goals
