NUMBER OF DAYS PER YEAR: February-May (approximately)
NUMBER OF HOURS PER DAY: 8 hours per day

Duties and Responsibilities
Prevent, assess, rehabilitate, and treat emergency, acute, and chronic injuries
- Recondition athletes after injury to prevent injury recurrence, impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities
- Daily coverage of practices and home events at Franklin Community Schools
- Maintain a daily treatment log, injury reports, and doctor referrals
- Refer to physician for follow-up care of injuries
- Communicate with all constituents on a regular and planned basis (ATCs, coaches, parents/families, AD, physicians, and strength coaches)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology and medical terminology
- Knowledgeable in current treatment techniques, rehabilitation techniques, and functional progressions.
- Ability to effectively provide quality care and service to appropriate patients
- Ability to communicate effectively with athletic training staff, coaches, patients, families, and physicians
- Ability to organize responsibilities and to set priorities
- Ability to function independently and make independent judgments and sound decisions
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing work conditions
Education and/or experience
- Bachelor's Degree by hire date to position.
- Graduate of NATA-approved curriculum
- Active certification by the Board of Certification (BOC)
- AHA BLS for healthcare providers or Red Cross professional rescuers is required.
- Licensed to practice athletic training in the state of Indiana.
