Responsibilities:
The Process Engineer is responsible for the administration and coordination of the branch. This role will work closely with Reliability, CI, Manufacturing, Tool Room and Maintenance. This role also ensures the Branch is focused on improving Safety, Quality and Reliability. Responsibilities include:
Identify processes to prevent non-conformances related to products, processes or the quality systems.
Total Productive Manufacturing is required.
Provide insight to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services provided or the ISO 9001:2015 management system.
Make suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.
Know the location of and understand their control plans, work instructions and specifications.
Guide and assist maintenance and various departments with trouble shooting.
Care and control of downstream equipment, with emphasis on vision inspection equipment and metal detection.
So, what will you be doing as a Process/Maintenance Engineer?
Develop standards for Implementation Teams and Equipment Improvement Teams.
Support the work order management process and CMMS system.
Ensure the work order process is followed, including PMs, changeovers and other planned maintenance. Conduct audits as needed.
Strive for continuous cost reductions in all areas of responsibility.
Generate support for TPM process by:
Actively pursuing new team members and Area Coordinators.
Periodically presenting TPM progress to others.
Coordinate and provide training and education in Continuous Improvement concepts.
Participate in auditing for safety, 6S, equipment care, maintenance, and TPM processes.
Coordinate schedules and required time for projects of process improvement, maintenance, and vendors.
Understand and utilize vision inspection systems by:
Maintain the life.
Working with vision system vendors to develop improvements.
Use vision inspection systems to monitor production and guide Production, Quality, and Tooling on improvements.
Modify and improve current vision inspection systems.
Manage engagement activities for the department
Strive to accomplish branch mission and goal statements.
Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve function of branch.
Qualifications
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need
Understand and practice Continuous Improvement principles.
Good communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Strong technical writing, computer skills, including MS Office and JDE/Atheer (CMMS-training provided).
Ability to analyze processes or problems and develop solutions using problem-solving techniques.
Understanding of vision inspection systems and metal detection.
Communicate well with internal department, customers, and vendors.
Conduct and lead productive meetings with a broad range of experience and insight.
