About Us
The Johnson County Museum of History is a hub of year-round cultural and historic event programming. It is located in downtown Franklin just a few doors north of the Artcraft Theatre. There are exhibits from Pioneer Days to the Civil War to the 1950s. Interactive displays keep visitors of all ages engaged. Their Genealogy and Local History Library provides plenty of material for researchers. The Hendricks Cabin, located behind the museum, will transport visitors back to the 1830s. Their calendar of events offers something for everyone, ranging from a Valentine's Workshop to Heritage Day to a visit from Santa. In addition to the Time Travelers History Camp, the museum does tours for all ages.
