POSITION SUMMARY
An exciting opportunity exists for an energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivating individual to promote the Library’s services, programs, resources and events through written, visual, and digital communications. The selected individual will tell JCPL’s story using both traditional methods, including social media, written word, photography and videography, and emerging platforms. The MAC Specialist will serve as the department’s go-to editor and proof-reader, provide support to the Graphic Designer, assist with taking, editing and producing high quality photographs & videos, and work with the MAC Manager to promote the Library at community events.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a communications-related field. Additional requirements include excellent interpersonal skills; extensive experience with social media platforms; proficiency with Microsoft software and ability to quickly write fun, engaging promotional content. This full-time vacancy requires some evening and weekend hours. A starting salary of $17.00 per hour and an excellent employee benefit package will be offered to the selected candidate.
