The Franklin Chamber of Commerce announces an exciting, one-of-a-kind event designed to be the ultimate celebration of the businesses, restaurants and shops that make the community unique. The inaugural Biz Bash will take place Thursday, September 20, at the historic Garment Factory Event center in downtown Franklin.
Biz Bash, scheduled to run from noon to 6:00pm, will feature networking, food and beverage tastings, celebrities and workshops designed to entertain and engage attendees.
“Franklin has a great story to tell and we think this is the perfect opportunity for people to come together and sample everything wonderful about our community,” said Janice Bullman, executive director of the Franklin Chamber. “Best of all, it will be under one roof, at the venue everyone will be talking about.”
Biz Bash will be one of the first community events to be held at the Garment Factory Events Center, located at 101 East Wayne Street in downtown Franklin. The historic 1920s building has been undergoing a major renovation and will open this spring for events.
While the venue will be new, the event will borrow some elements from the chamber’s previously highly-popular event, “Cash Bash.”
“We’re taking some of the favorite parts of Cash Bash and incorporating them into this new event,” says Terry Miller, Franklin Chamber board president. “As with Cash Bash, you can network, enjoy great food and beverages and just have a good time.”
Several workshops will be held throughout the afternoon on a wide variety of topics. Businesses interested in hosting/presenting these workshops should contact the Franklin Chamber as soon as possible to submit a proposal.
Workshop topics will include:
Businesses may secure booth space to showcase their products during Biz Bash. Both 6’ and 12’ booth space is available and a discounted rate will be offered to businesses who wish to host food or beverage tastings.
