Recognizing the importance of supporting small independently-owned businesses in our community, Franklin Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its designation as a Neighborhood Champion in support of Small Business Saturday on November 26th. Created by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide. Celebrated every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the day has given small businesses across the country a huge boost.

Franklin shoppers are encouraged to take part in the Small Business Saturday Start Here Open House on November 26th.  The event takes place from 10:00 to 2:00 at the Franklin Chamber of Commerce office at 120 E Jefferson Street.  Shoppers who visit the Chamber to support small businesses can pick up some Shop Small giveaways, incentives, coupons, information on participating businesses, and coffee and donuts to start the day.

Janice Bullman, executive director of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce adds, “I encourage you to take advantage of Small Business Saturday on November 26th and spread the word to your customers and other local businesses. This campaign is an excellent way to remind our community about the advantages of supporting our local small businesses and celebrate everything they do to support our community”.

Start Here Open House is in partnership with the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, the City of Franklin and Crane Credit Union.
