With roots dating to 1864, Girls Inc. has provided vital educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas. Today, innovative programs help girls confront subtle societal messages about their value and potential, and prepare them to lead successful, independent, and fulfilling lives.

Girls Inc.® of Franklin/Johnson County has been providing safe, quality, and enriching after school and summer programs for the young women in our community for 72 years. Girls Inc. serves more than 1,000 girls through our daily after school programs and summer day camp. Girls Inc. responds to the changing needs of girls through research-based programs and public education efforts that empower girls to understand, value, and assert their rights.
