Adult & Child Health has served central Indiana as a Community Mental Health Center for over five decades as a 501c(3) not-for-profit organization. We’ve been a staple in Indianapolis since 1949, originally known as Marion County Child Health Clinic. In 1982, we officially became Adult & Child Health. In 2017, we became a Federally Qualified Health Center, which means we can now deliver primary care to our community. This bridge to becoming an FQHC has provided us the opportunity to improve the whole health of each person we serve.

About This Position

Adult and Child provides on-site behavioral health services at over 100 schools in central Indiana. We are currently hiring a School Based Licensed Therapist to help students manage their behavioral health needs, so they can be more successful in the classroom. Our Licensed Therapists are supported by a team of Skills Development staff and other therapists, who work with the students throughout the school day to reinforce the treatment plan.

Our full-time exempt (salaried) School Based Therapist helps to support our mission and team so we can work in the most efficient and effective way. You will work Monday - Friday, during school hours, but have the opportunity for flexible scheduling. You will work primarily out of the schools your provide services in but we will also have an office location available. 

Due to COVID-19, this position is currently providing both telehealth and in-person services, depending on your client’s needs. This role will return back to fully in-person services once safely able to do so. Your Team Leader can help guide you in creating a schedule that meets both our client's needs as well as your own. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

• Diagnosis
• Treatment planning
• Individual and family therapy
• Frequent communication with school and other family stakeholders
• Clinical documentation (via EHR)
• Assist in staff training and development
• Provide clinical feedback to staff
• Coaching/Supervision of employees on their assigned areas of responsibility
• Assisting Team Leader with facilitating meetings, staffing, or other team gatherings

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related behavioral health field
• Licensed in the state of Indiana with either an LMFT, LMHC and/or LCSW preferred
• License eligible in Indiana required
• Interested in helping students, grades pre-K through 12th, with behavioral health needs
• Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own, insured, transportation
