Tandy Shuck is the Executive Director for Leadership Johnson County, a program designed to integrate leadership training and community skills for citizens of Johnson County.

After graduating from Hanover College and receiving her advanced degree in Clinical Psychology from Connecticut College, Tandy finished a one-year internship at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh. Desiring to return to her home state, Tandy came to Franklin College in 1993 as the Assistant Director of Counseling. Through the evolving duties assigned to Tandy in her role in the counseling center and as an adjunct faculty member in the Psychology department, she became more intrigued by the leadership education that was occurring on the campus. Tandy began teaching a leadership class for a group of student leaders in 1996 and helped develop the campus's First Year Experience Program. Wanting to further her own leadership development, Tandy completed the Leadership Johnson County program in 2001. Desiring to focus on the aspect of her career that she had become most passionate about, Tandy made the move to the Leadership Department in August of 2001 where she enjoys facilitating and empowering others in their quest for leadership training.

Tandy has facilitated workshops on teambuilding, collaboration, time-management, mentoring, and many other topics relating to leadership and psychology.  She conducts Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) workshops for companies and organizations.

Being committed to community involvement, Tandy is also actively involved in Johnson and Marion County activities. Tandy has volunteered for numerous organizations in Johnson County. She is founder and past-president of the Dress for Success® Indianapolis Board of Directors in Marion County. Tandy has been a Franklin Chamber Board member since 2012 and currently serves on the Executive Committee, the Membership Committee, and the Development Committee.

Tandy lives in Greenwood, Indiana with her husband and three children.
