Our amazing journey

Welcome to the Franklin Chamber of Commerce and our “brand new” website!  The road to this destination has been long. However, it has been an amazing journey, and your Chamber is thrilled to offer so many new features that benefit our members and our community.

Having been in my role as the Chamber’s executive director for two full months, I’ve learned so much about the Chamber and the role I/we serve. My responsibility as the Chamber’s executive director, along with the other members of the Chamber staff and board of directors, is to constantly improve the Franklin area and promote it as a wonderful place to live, work, play and do business. That becomes easier each day as I experience this amazing community!

The Franklin Chamber strives to use the momentum created by our many partnerships to impact the kind of change and benefits we all envision. For that reason the Franklin Chamber facilitates and supports programs that are good for business and for the community.

Through the Chamber’s new website, you have the opportunity to connect with our member businesses; keep abreast of events that impact our community and to locate the many government and private agencies that serve this community. In addition to viewing the new site on your desktops and laptops, I'm excited for you to take a look at the website on your mobile devices! The responsive design is fantastic!

In the heart of Johnson County, Franklin is the county seat where we enjoy the better of two worlds.  We have a vibrant and growing city and we are the home to Franklin College and all of the amenities an institution of higher education brings to a community. We are steeped and rich in history. The public-private partnership of the Johnson County government, the Museum of History and the Johnson County Historical Society share is most unique and envied across the state.

With ever increasing retail businesses and offices, downtown Franklin is thriving with more shoppers retuning to the core business district of the city. With a very active Main Street…The city is host to downtown festivals along the court house square and shoppers enjoy the convenience of shopping local. Franklin has a thriving business district along highway U.S. 31, where shoppers will find familiar stores and restaurants.

As this community grows and evolves, the Chamber will too.  We encourage our businesses to become active Chamber members and support the work that is taking place here. Of course, it is so important that The Franklin Chamber of Commerce is the link between business and community.

We are so excited about the future of our community, and I encourage you to communicate with us. We'd love to hear from you.
